2. What kind of insects does TB&IA offer?
Apart from butterflies and moths, we offer some spectacular beetles, walking sticks, phasmids, grasshoppers, cicadas and a few other groups including arachnids: spiders, scorpions, whip-scorpions, as well as millipedes and centipedes when available.   Those are all preserved and wrapped carefully for compact shipping.

3. What are typical shipping times?
We strive to send out orders as soon as possible after receiving them but you should allow at least 2 weeks for delivery of your order.  We can sometimes accommodate "rush orders" when time and circumstances allow but there is a special charge of $10 added in addition to any special delivery options such as "express" mail.  Our preferred shipping method is via the US Mail but UPS is an option.

4. Does TB&IA offer a satisfaction guarantee?
We want our customers to be satisfied with the insects they buy and strive to get the best sources of quality material available.  It must be borne in mind however that we ship thousands of specimens weekly and it is impossible to inspect each one individually.   Even though our specimens are clean and entire and in fine condition, we cannot guarantee that every antenna and leg is absolutely intact.  Small specimens may have an occasional broken antenna and beetles may have an occasional tarsus broken off but in the package.  However, if you ever receive a specimen with an obvious blemish such as a broken wing, piece missing or large tears, these will be replaced or credited.   There is no 100% guarantee on wholesale lots although these are usually at least 90% A1 quality.

5. How can payments be made?
We ask for payment in advance either by check, money order, or credit card.  We currently accept Visa, Master Card, the Discover Card and American Express.  A pro-forma invoice can be sent prior to payment.

6. Does TB&IA ship worldwide?
We can ship to any part of the world where regulations allow but all foreign orders including Canada are subject to a U.S. Fish and Wildlife inspection fee of $95.  In the case of CITES species, an additional $25 fee would be incurred with a waiting period of at least one month for issuing of the permit.
